Sustainability in Riverside
You may not realize it while you're strolling through Fairmount Park or relaxing in the shade of big oak or ash tree, but Riverside was built in the desert. The climate of this region is hot and dry and if Riverside hadn't grown on the bank of the Santa Ana River, there would be very few trees and almost no grass in this area. Because we rely heavily on resources like water and food from other regions of California and West, it's really important to try to live sustainably. The good news is that it's actually pretty easy to make some small changes to your daily life and household to become more sustainable.
At Refresh Riverside, you can learn how to "go green" and begin to live more sustainably! Watch the video above or click on the links to the left to learn more about sustainability.
