Global climate change is one of the most important issues facing society today. As carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas levels increase in the atmosphere, the global climate responds by warming up, which in turn leads to rising sea level, melting ice sheets, bigger and more frequent storms like hurricanes and tornadoes, regional droughts and biological crises like mass extinctions and crop failure.
